Pietro and Omero aren’t exactly a natural match.
Pietro is a rough-around-the-edges Roman mechanic whose attitudes toward gay men leave a lot to be desired. Omero is openly gay, confident in who he is, and not particularly interested in making himself smaller to accommodate someone else’s prejudices.
When the two wind up sharing an apartment, their differences quickly collide.
What begins as an uneasy living arrangement filled with arguments, misunderstandings and plenty of culture shock gradually forces both men to reconsider the assumptions they’ve made about one another.
And somewhere along the way, something unexpected happens: they become friends.

Meet Pietro and Omero
Filippo Contri stars as Pietro, whose macho exterior and ingrained prejudices make sharing an apartment with an openly gay man something of a personal crisis.
Opposite him is Filippo Tirabassi as Omero, who refuses to apologize for being himself — even when his new roommate would probably prefer that he did.
Their chemistry drives the film. The pleasure of Accidental Friends comes from watching the walls between them slowly come down as irritation gives way to understanding, affection and an unexpected kind of intimacy.
