New Series: Give Me Back the Night

Set during the middle of the pandemic in 2021, Give Me Back the Night is a smart, sexy, funny and fast paced new series from Columbia – exploring a new relationship which opens up some old wounds.

Leonardo (Juan Manuel Velez Casas), a creative young man who dabbles in sewing and illustration, is just trying to survive his day job – working in a supermarket surrounded by pandemic-related chaos. When he learns that his biological mother, thought to be dead, is very much alive and wants to reconnect with him, it completely upends his day-to-day life.

Meanwhile, Felix (Sergio Quevedo Barreto) is a photographer with rough and tumble good looks who has his eyes firmly planted on the stars. He has recently run away from a disapproving home. When he meets Leonardo on the street and the two young men form an unlikely connection, they’re budding relationship finally allows them to explore their suppressed desires and freedoms.

Together, they begin to face the issues that keep them up at night. They soon learn that they must reckon with their pasts and repair their fractured family ties in order to move forward and grow together.

Finally, Episode 4 offers up a review of the life and loves of Virginia Woolf. We dive deep into her affair with Vita Sackville-West, leading London lesbian of her day, and relive the parties thrown by the Bloomsbury Set, a group of young Modernists who continued the British tradition of plumbing the nation’s bottomless depths of homosexuality. (Or should we say bottom-full?)

Ossan’s Love, a queer romantic comedy series from Hong Kong, comes to Dekkoo

Tin (Edan Lui) has been single his whole life. One day, he discovers that his boss secretly harbors romantic feelings and is even willing to leave his wife to be with him.

Tin confides this news to his friends, only to discover that his co-worker and flatmate, Muk is also deeply in love with him. Even though Tin has never ever thought about dating another man, he finds himself overwhelmed by his new popularity and slowly falling for the men who hold him dear.

Originally broadcast in Hong Kong, Ossan’s Love is a charming romantic series based on a Japanese drama of the same name. Both shows are notable as the first mainstream television series to feature gay love as a central storyline in their respective regions.

The Dekkoo-Original Comedy Series Marriage of Inconvenience is Now Available!

In the brand new Dekkoo-Original Comedy Series Marriage of Inconvenience, two total strangers entering a witness protection program must pretend to be a happily married couple in order to hide their identities from the dangerous people who want them dead!

Franklin (David Singletary) is an even-tempered English professor who prides himself on his attention to detail in every area of his carefully structured life. Owen (Jason T. Gaffney) is a messy, street-smart dropout with anger issues, forced into a life of crime against his will.

About the only thing Franklin and Owen have in common is that they’re gay. Now, living together in a very small house as “Mr. and Mr. Fulton,” they find they have something else in common: they can’t stand each other. But both men have complicated pasts, with some very bad people relentlessly hunting them down.

With their lives on the line, Owen and Franklin are stuck with each other, for better or worse, hoping that it’s not literally a “til death do we part” situation.

Where the Bears Are is much-beloved, seven-season comedy-mystery series from creators, writers and stars Rick Copp, Ben Zook and Joe Dietl.

Described by the creators as a cross between ‘The Golden Girls’ and ‘Murder, She Wrote’, the series focuses on Nelson (Zook), Wood (Dietl) and Reggie (Copp), three gay, bear friends sharing a house in the Silver Lake neighborhood who, in each season, are drawn into a different murder investigation which plays out as a season-long story arc.
