Watch the trailer for the upcoming Dekkoo-Original Adam in Fragments

Conjuring Stanley Kubrick, David Lynch and Steven Soderbergh all at once, the trailer for the brand-new Dekkoo-Original Adam in Fragments delivers a small taste of the transgressive sights and sounds to come.

Inspired by crime thrillers of the ’70s, this provocative, gritty drama tells the story of one hustler’s odyssey.

After a prolonged disappearance, Adam (Beau Swartz) reluctantly returns to sex work. Following the urge to protect a young aspiring adult film star, Lucy (Keiva Bradley), from their terrorizing handler, Felix (Francisco Antonio), Adam’s actions trigger a series of events that send violent ripples through the Los Angeles underground sex-trade.

Featuring supporting performances from Jonathan Miller, Ryan Ruffing, Joe Garcia and Tara Emerson, Adam in Fragments is the newest film from Omar Salas Zamora, the filmmaker behind Here Comes Your Man and Nothing But Flowers. This time, he is co-directing along with his Here Comes Your Man lead actor Calvin Picou.

“Adam is a career sex worker,” said the directors. “It was interesting to us to look at Adam as someone who doesn’t view himself as a victim of circumstance, and instead takes pride in a skill he’s mastered. His drug use muddies thing for him, but it was important to us that his story should be one where the sex worker doesn’t necessarily want out because he genuinely doesn’t care. His careful anonymity to keep his professional lifestyle livable until the end was a big draw. His noble aspirations to be in control of his life and accountable for his decisions makes him unaware that he’s on a suicide mission.”

The filmmakers hope that audiences “find the humanity in difficult characters. It wasn’t interesting to try to make them heroes, villains or victims – they just needed to exist.”

You can watch the trailer for Adam in Fragments now on Dekkoo. The film will be available to Dekkoo subscribers in November.

Watch the full first season of the gay series Trending Yesterday

If you could go back in time and change one of your life’s biggest regrets, would you? Could you? More importantly, should you?

The binge-worthy new series Trending Yesterday explores that very question. This independently-produced show follows a close-knit group of gay men who have all been friends since the late 1980s. Though they came of age during a more turbulent time, the group built a strong sense of community and survived society’s ups-and-downs together.

The series begins in the present day, but takes an unexpected turn when, after a celebratory night, Eric, the show’s narrator, wakes up to discover that he has somehow been transported back to 1988. He then sets out on a mission to change the things he wasn’t able to the first time around.

Employing a dual timeline, this clever, critically-acclaimed series examines the many strides we have made over the past three decades as well as the challenges that still exist within the LGBTQ community.

All eight episodes of the first season of Trending Yesterday are now available on Dekkoo!

New episodes of Woke are available now on Dekkoo!

A new season of Woke has arrived!

The series, created by Sullivan Le Postec, centers around the abundant, colorful world and everyday lives of several engaging and passionate activists who run an LGBTQ+ center in France.

In this brand-new season, Thibaut saves a Chechen refugee from a nearly fatal trap, and in the process discovers a trial program for human rights protection which has provided shelter for numerous people in Europe. Meanwhile, Hicham returns to his tower-block neighborhood in Saint Étienne after a relative is killed in a fight with the police.

Both men are in a race against time. Thibaut has to discover the mole inside the European institutions in order to save the lives of those protected by the human rights program, while Hicham has to reveal the truth about his cousin’s death and fight a media cover-up which threatens the case.

Series stars Mehdi Meskar and Eric Pucheu return to their roles in what is easily the show’s grittiest and most intense season yet. If you haven’t caught up with all the action, fear not. The first two seasons of Woke are also available now on Dekkoo.

Pride Month Spotlight: Proud

In 1981, love was forbidden. In 1999, starting a family seemed impossible. By 2013, everything had changed.

From French filmmaker Philippe Faucon, the award-winning director behind Fatima, this amazing new three-part cinematic event takes us through each of these years.

Proud tells the stories of Charles (Frédéric Pierrot), Victor (Samuel Theis) and Diego (Julien Lopez), three generations of men, all from the same family, who represent the seismic social changes that took place within the LGBTQ community over the course of just three decades.

A three-part episodic cinema event, Proud offers up a chronology of tolerance and a portrait of one family through changing times. Cahiers du Cinema called it “one of the most exciting series of the year.” Le Parisien called it “A series that defends the fundamental rights of gay people.”
