The new gay series The Hosts explores the intimate and often complicated interactions that occur before and after sexual encounters with strangers.

After a painful breakup from a long-term, open relationship, Jason (Ben Odom) decides to use a popular hook-up app to reintegrate himself into the gay dating scene.

This ten-episode series documents his ten different hook-up experiences, capturing the vulnerabilities and fraught dynamics that exist in these encounters, told with a larger story through the individual perspectives of the “host” characters – meaning the different strangers whose apartments Jason visits.

Featuring a wide array of New York-based talent both behind and in front of the camera, creator, writer, executive producer and lead actor Ben Odom has fashioned a unique, funny, sexy and often alarmingly relatable look at how we modern gay men present ourselves in the bedroom.
