The sexy new gay rom-com ‘300 Letters’ takes a unique look at post-breakup introspection

A sexy and original romantic gay comedy from Argentina, 300 Letters follows Jero and Tom (Cristian Mariani and Gastón Frías), a handsome, successful and seemingly perfect couple.

Tom is a finance bro and CrossFit jock while Jero, the more sensitive of the two, is into poetry. Their love affair ends, rather abruptly, on their first anniversary. Tom abandons Jero and leaves him a breakup letter and an “anniversary gift” as the only explanation.

The “gift” is a box containing 299 letters, all written throughout the duration of their relationship. Completely blindsided, Jero reads through each of them in order. Each confession reveals a new version of Tom he never truly knew, turning their “love story” into something far more complicated, shocking and disturbing.

A darkly funny, unconventional breakup movie from Lucas Santa Ana, the director behind Bromance and Blue Lights, 300 Letters plays like a romantic comedy in reverse – a post-mortem on a failed relationship.
