The director of ‘Were the World Mine’ returns with the electrifying new musical ‘Glitter & Doom’

In a fantastical summer romance set to the iconic hits of the Grammy Award-winning, trailblazing Indigo Girls, Glitter & Doom follows the love-at-first-sight connection between carefree circus performer Glitter (Alex Diaz) and struggling musician Doom (Alan Cammish).

An undeniable spark throws the pair into a summer of camping trips, late-night conversations and innovative song-and-dance numbers – until the real world comes calling for them.

Their relationship is put to the test as Doom confronts the realities of finding success in the music industry and Glitter has an opportunity to run away to Paris as a circus performer.

Glitter and Doom soon find themselves struggling to make sense of their whirlwind summer while staying true to themselves and pursuing their dreams.

Directed by beloved Were the World Mine filmmaker Tom Gustafson and punctuated by a star-studded supporting cast – including Lea DeLaria, Tig Notaro, “Drag Race” alum Peppermint, Ming-Na Wen, Missi Pyle and Indigo Girls Amy Ray and Emily Saliers themselves – Glitter & Doom is a creatively ambitious, visually stunning queer musical about the power of love – and, of course, the “Power of Two.”

An all-star cast comes together for this adaptation of Michael John LaChiusa’s time-jumping New York musical ‘Hello Again’

An adaptation of Michael John LaChiusa’s celebrated Off-Broadway musical, Hello Again takes inspiration from Arthur Schnitzler’s La Ronde to explore ten fleeting love affairs across ten different periods in New York City history.

In these lust-fueled episodes, the lives of a restless soldier, a defiant nurse, a helpless college boy, a driven actress, and more intersect in a dizzying, daisy-chained exploration of bittersweet love.

Tom Gustafson, the director behind queer musical classic Were the World Mine, assembled an incredible cast – including Martha Plimpton, Audra McDonald, Sam Underwood, Rumer Willis, Tyler Blackburn, Nolan Gerard Funk, T.R. Knight and Cheyenne Jackson – to bring this stunning and sensual musical experience to the screen, spinning through ten lavish, colorful and music-fueled vignettes which come together into one soulful circle.

Based
on his earlier short film “Fairies” (2003), Tom Gustafson (written along with
his partner and husband Cory Krueckeberg) directs the gayest musical adaptation
of a Shakespeare play ever put onto the silver screen.

Timothy just wants to sail through High School, avoid the bullies that tease him in gym, and imagine that the sexy captain of the rugby team, Jonathan, secretly desires him. But when rehearsals for the senior production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream begin, led by Ms. Tebit (Wendy Robie from Twin Peaks in a role that will make every gay boy who had a favorite teacher in high school positively swoon!), things quickly spiral out of control when a magicalflower that can make people fall in love with whomever they first see
(regardless of gender!!) falls into Timothy’s lap.

‘Were the World Mine‘ was one of the last gay films of the 2000’s to be shot on 16mm
film stock which creates a distinct grain texture that immensely contributes to
the fantasy-like world heightened by some fantastic original musical interludes
and songs from gay artists like Patrick Wolf and Mika.

‘Were the World Mine‘ is a spectacular queer fantasy where anything is possible – with
a little Shakespearean magic of course.
