From writer-director Matt Guerin, the filmmaker behind the short films Tri-Curious and The Golden Pin, The Big Snore is a brand-new 9-minute comedy about a problem that will be all-too-familiar to most couples who share a bed.
Marc and Julian (Scotty Murray and James Chapman) are a happy gay couple. They still have a spark. So much so that they worry their loud lovemaking will wake the neighbors. The only thing louder than their sex life, however, is Jules’ snoring. Shortly after they finish making love, Jules drifts off to sleep, blissfully unaware that his heavy breathing will keep light-sleeper Marc awake all night long.
A Dekkoo-Original short film, The Big Snore is available to stream now. You can watch the trailer below. Make sure to check out Matt Guerin’s previous film Tri-Curious as well.
Young couple Richard (Michael Urie) and Alex (Randy Harrison) want what everyone wants: career, kids and a gorgeous home in L.A. But it all seems so impossible until they crash a party at Edendale, their dream house, owned by Jake (Scott Wolf) and Chloe (Kate Reinders), who are hosting a fundraiser for the orphans of Bhutan. Richard and Alex hit it off with the hosts, and while house-sitting for them, discover a secret room filled with a million in cash!
When Jake and Chloe die in a “rickshaw accident” overseas, Richard and Alex worry the cash might not go to the orphans, so they break into Edendale and take the money. They earnestly try to donate the money to Jigme Wangchuck (Alec Mapa), the deputy ambassador of the Embassy of Bhutan, and his assistant Priti Khagda (Tania Gunadi). But the Embassy officials, thinking they’re being set up, refuse the money. So Richard and Alex deposit the cash, find another charity, and end up writing a check to “The Porpoise Purpose,” headed by Stuart Hendron (Lance Bass) and his assistant Olivier (Mitch Silpa).
Just then, they learn from their Realtor, Logan, (Tom Lenk), that Edendale is now on the market. They really want it but have given the money to the porpoise charity – so they stop payment on the check and use the money as down payment on the house, intending to repay the charity by taking out a second mortgage once escrow closes. But tough yet savvy LAPD Detective Dianne Kershman (Ana Ortiz) sees things differently. She tells Richard and Alex that Jake and Chloe were in fact murdered. Worried the killers must be after the money, they panic… and things only get crazier from there.
Such Good People is a hysterically funny madcap indie comedy about a gay couple who are not defined by their sexuality – but by their love and their desire for success. They’re also, of course, every bit as crazy as the straight people in the movie.
Ernesto (Federico Russo) is a teenager who wanders, in search of himself, through the streets of Rome.
Chapter after chapter, time passes – and people just seem to disappear. But he continues to live impromptu relationships, causing pain to himself and to others. Taking refuge in his happy moments and in political ideologies, he believes he can save his soul from suffering… although life will force him to grow and move forward.
Directed by partners Alice De Luca and Giacomo Raffaelli under their joint creative banner Freeres, Ernesto was shot in the 4:3 aspect ratio to give viewers a sense of the fragments of the lead character’s life – as if the film you’re watching were a lengthy re-working of the protagonist’s own memories.
A sexy, smart and wildly unique film, Ernesto is available now on Dekkoo. Watch the trailer below.

Inspired by William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Verona is the story of two young lovers separated by their rival fraternities.
Set in a small college town wherein young men are groomed for corporate success in All-American hyper competitive fashion, Verona presents the fate of star-crossed lovers in a society that condemns the very nature of their love.
Directed by Laurie Lynd (Breakfast with Scot), Verona features star actors known from DeGrassi, All My Children, The Best Years, Paradise Falls, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Queer As Folk and more. This post-modern retelling of the greatest love story ever told brings to light the homophobic/homo-erotic dual nature of fraternity life, its perks and perils.
Verona was shot as something of a calling-card, to pave the way for public, private and corporate interest in a full-length feature film version. The project is one of passion for all those involved, hoping to present the nature of love in its truest form – and it shows.
Verona is available now on Dekkoo. Watch the trailer below.
In the dark, sexy, psychological coming-of-age drama Nevrland, 17-year-old Jakob (Simon Frühwirth) struggles with crippling anxiety and takes refuge in the Internet. While on a cam-to-cam chat site, he meets 26-year-old artist Kristjan (Paul Forman)… and soon nothing in his life will be quite the same.
Caught between reality and fantasy, youth and adulthood, Jakob’s blurry process of sexual awakening is a psychedelic trip of hot, strange hallucinatory sequences of desire and madness that will bring you to the edge of your seat.
With vivid imagery and atmospherically dense scenes, director Gregor Schmidinger shows the process of sexual awakening and self-discovery as an existential journey in which the borders between reality and fantasy become increasingly blurred.
Along with Simon Früwirth as Jakob in his debut acting role, the cast also includes the Austrian star stand-up comedian and actor Josef Hader as Jakob’s stoic father.
Nevrland is a well-founded depth psychological coming-of-age film about the courage it takes to be oneself and the often daunting fear blocking the way.
