Sanuye Shoteka and Hermes Pittakos in He Loves Me

He Loves Me is an exploration of the unconventional nature of love and its ability to survive against the fear of loneliness, psychological traumas and the problems that come with life in the big city. The collapsing relationship shared by two men finds an outlet for escape on an isolated beach. Once there, they feel free to expose their deepest thoughts and release their true emotions. Their wounded relationship might not survive the vacation, but it’s certainly a glorious place to feel things out.

Lead actors Sanuye Shoteka and Hermes Pittakos are artists and performers who were a real-life couple at the time that He Loves Me was shot – and the script for the film was greatly influenced by their relationship.

Now Available: My Life with James Dean

Invited to present his first feature film, My Life with James Dean, in Normandy, the young director Geraud Champreux (Johnny Rasse) has no idea this film tour is about to change his life. His movie – a LGBTQ tale of carnal passion – doesn’t seem the most likely title to move waves at the cinemas; and Geraud is as concerned about breaking up with the film’s leading man as in promoting his movie. And yet, the film and Geraud begin to collect supporters, from the frumpy receptionist at the chintzy hotel he puts up at, to a local cultural activist who books the cinemas and has love problems of her own, to the young projectionist at the first cinema where it plays, who falls head-over-heels in love with Geraud. As the promo tour careers from dire screenings to trawler trips and drunken evenings, Geraud ends up finding inspiration in this unlikely town in the North of France.

Directed by Dominique Choisy, My Life with James Dean is a charming, candy-colored “fish out of water” comedy that doubles as a love letter to cinema itself. Check out the trailer below and head on over to Dekkoo to watch the film.

After an argument ensues between the two secret lovers, David throws himself into a one-night stand with Sam (Craig Stein), a casual encounter which quickly evolves into something much stronger.

Unable to express his feelings to anyone, Jules is slowly driven mad by his secret desire for David – and he’s becoming increasingly more jealous of his newfound, public relationship. When David’s sister, Jane (Suzanne Collins), insists he bring his new boyfriend over for dinner, Jules snaps, revealing in turn a secret which none of them can ignore.
