Underneath all of these encounters lies a deep loneliness and a need to feel desired. Will he finally be able to find love in the age of smartphones and dating apps? And will he ever discover the true identity of ‘Felix,’ the mysterious virtual paramour to whom he’s grown most attached?

Catch up on all the sexy, heartfelt and deeply intimate action with Geomapping Love. All ten episodes of the first season are available now on Dekkoo. You can watch the trailer below.

Short Film Spotlight: Under the Crescent Moon

From the outset of Under the Crescent Moon, it’s clear that there is something going on between high school besties Abdul and Jerryl.

Constantly flirting and finding excuses to playfully touch one another, the two young men are inching ever closer to finally admitting their true feelings.

The problem lies in the societal and religious expectations that surround them. Abdul, who comes from a conservative Muslim family, feels deeply that his love for Jerryl is a direct affront to Allah – and his strict father, who has taken ominous notice of the boys’ affection, would likely agree.

An emotional 15-minute short film from the Philippines, Under the Crescent Moon tells a tender and ultimately heartbreaking coming-of-age story about young love.

Short Film Spotlight: Skin to Skin

Frenetically paced and packed with gorgeous visuals, the deceptively titled short film Skin to Skin goes way beneath the surface, examining the unexpected emotional depth that can reveal itself during casual hook-ups.

Based on a conversation with an anonymous individual, credited only as ‘O’, the film uses actors to recreate the intimate moments that can occur just after sex between strangers concludes.

An unseen narrator shares a few stories about encounters with people whose post-coital conversation surprised him. Among them are a man grieving the recent loss of his father, a Brazilian immigrant looking for a new place to call home and a young woman learning to own and appreciate the literal scars of her past.

A subversively moving piece of work, Skin to Skin examines the no-strings-attached, faceless profiles of Grindr in an honest, destigmatized way and shows how casual hook-ups can sometimes lead to unexpectedly poignant connections – and also how, in some situations, it’s easier to reveal your innermost self to a total stranger.

A young intern comes between two middle-aged friends in the taboo-busting drama ‘Daddy’

Based on the 2010 stage play by co-star Dan Via, Daddy is centered around two middle-aged gay friends who find their relationship jeopardized by a much younger love interest.

Director and BearCity alum Gerald McCullouch also stars in the film as Colin McCormack, an aging stud who thinks he has it all – a great job, a steady stream of hot younger guys and a best friend whose devotion he takes for granted.

When a charming intern (played by Smash star Jaime Cepero) sweeps him off his feet, Colin sees a chance for something more: a family of his own. What he discovers instead is a shattering secret that may cost him everything – and everyone – he holds dear.

By turns funny, heartbreaking and hopeful, Daddy explores the universal need for love and connection.

Meddlesome siblings come between a budding romance in the British comedy ‘Three in a Bed’

A romantic coming-of-age comedy set in Manchester, Three in a Bed follows the day-to-day life of struggling musician Nate (Brennan Reece).

A young man finally out in the world on his own, Nate seems to have finally found the independence he’s been desperately seeking. That is until his two feisty sisters (Verity-May Henry and Coby Hamilton) come crashing into his life.

The timing, coinciding with the arrival of an adorable new neighbor named Jonny (Darren Bransford), couldn’t be worse. Soon everything in Nate’s life is turned frantically upside down.

Will he finally be able to get his two sisters out of his apartment? Will the budding romance between Jonny and Nate have room to blossom? Or will the pressures of dysfunctional family dynamics end up pulling them apart?

The path to true love is anything but smooth in this affectionate British comedy from frequent EastEnders director Lloyd Eyre-Morgan.

‘The Summer with Carmen’ is now streaming exclusively on Dekkoo!

The playful gay comedy The Summer with Carmen follows actors, writing partners, and best friends Demos and Nikitas (Yorgos Tsiantoulas and Andreas Labropoulos) as they spend a sweltering day together at a nude beach in Athens.

Nikitas, fed up with only being considered for stereotypical queer roles, becomes determined to create his own opportunities in the Greek film industry by directing his first feature.

As the two friends soak up the sun, they begin to brainstorm a screenplay idea based on the colorful events of a previous summer – a life-changing period that involved a devastating break-up and a dog named Carmen.

Taking a fresh, rule-breaking perspective on storytelling, writer-director Zacharias Mavroeidis has devised a clever ‘film within a film,’ playfully shifting between timelines while delivering a funny and poignant look at queer romances, friendships, and intimacy – not to mention pet ownership – all set against multiple steamy Greek summers.
